I am Maneli Wilson Richards, founder and principal of Maneli Wilson Interiors, a full service interior design studio. With more than 20 years of experience, I am known for a refined, globally informed aesthetic and an ability to create spaces that feel both timeless and deeply personal. My professional foundation began at Cornell University’s Hotel School, where I studied Hospitality and Facilities Design, followed by further training in Classical Interior and Garden Design in Florence, Italy. These experiences shaped a practice that bridges the worlds of design, art, and architecture, often balancing classical proportion with a contemporary sensibility to create interiors that are elegant, characterful, and enduring, while reflecting my appreciation for highly ornate, maximalist, old world styles tempered by a more serene and minimalist aesthetic.

Born in Tehran and raised between cultures, I was influenced by my family’s long involvement in the decorative arts, allowing me to develop an early appreciation for age old craftsmanship, form, and the emotional resonance of objects. My interiors often explore the relationship between old and new, juxtaposing sculptural silhouettes with refined materials and subtle texture to create environments that feel layered and timeless. I approach each project as a collaboration built on trust and dialogue, interpreting the individuality of my clients through spaces that are both functional and emotionally engaging. By artfully combining classical and modern elements of the finest quality, I seek to create settings that evoke feeling, reflect character, and convey a sense of quiet luxury.

Over more than two decades, I have designed private residences, hospitality spaces, retail environments, and corporate offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and internationally. My work reflects a sensitivity to architecture and context, with each project tailored to its surroundings and to the lives it will hold. I believe that interiors should tell a story that unfolds naturally and continues to evolve with time.

Based in the Cotswolds and working across London, New York, and internationally, I offer a highly personalised design service rooted in refinement, authenticity, and an unwavering attention to detail.
