PROCESS

My design process is aimed at facilitating the seamless evolution of a project and incorporates client feedback at every step.

Each project is unique with varying timeframes, budgets, and priorities, but I try my best to work in the following design stages:

 

PROJECT BRIEFING

First, I listen and harvest as much information as possible: a client’s aspirations, their priorities and their aesthetic preferences, as well as, their dislikes.  We discuss the floor plans, furniture layouts, in addition to any existing furniture and artwork they would like to incorporate into the space.  Together, we set a target timeframe and budget.  This initial consultation phase sets the framework for the entire project.

LOOK & FEEL

Interior design is an evolving process, and it starts here. This initial presentation is a considered visual interpretation of the client’s brief, which begins to define the identity or ‘design DNA’ of the project. The materials may include mood boards, inspiration imagery, initial design concepts, fabrics, finishes and any other elements that should be taken into account within the overall scheme.

CONCEPT DESIGN

More focused design work is then broken down by individual spaces to include detailed specifications for hard finishes, architectural features, bespoke and selected furnishings, lighting schemes, and refined room layouts.  These elements are presented to the client through a curated series of mood boards that encompass material samples, finish palettes, and illustrative examples of proposed furnishings and accessories.

 

DEVELOPED DESIGN

Using earlier feedback, the design is finalised and prepared for implementation.  This stage may include detailed technical drawings, refined schedules, updated budgets and finalised layouts. I often provide photo‑realistic 3D renderings and visualisations to help the client fully imagine the finished space.

PROJECT COORDINATION

I work within a wider team and take pride in efficiency, clear communication, transparency and punctuality, always respecting budgets and project timelines. Regular site visits enable the team to review progress in person, address issues promptly and collaborate on practical problem-solving throughout the various phases of the project.

FF&E (FURNITURE, FITTINGS & EQUIPMENT)

I procure all furnishings, lighting and decorative fittings and carefully oversee vendor coordination and deliveries. Often, items are securely stored off‑site until the scheduled installation, ensuring everything arrives and is handled with the utmost care.


 

INSTALLATION & HANDOVER

After the site is fully prepared and ready for the next phase, all furnishings, accessories, and artwork are carefully installed.

We take the time to personally supervise the hanging and precise placement of each piece, fine‑tuning positions and details to ensure a truly beautiful, balanced and harmonious arrangement throughout the space.
