The design process is collaborative and involves a community of strong relationships and a network of tried and tested suppliers and tradespeople. I understand the importance of transparent and seamless communication with clients, but also with the wider project team – ensuring coordination and clarity from start to finish offering a holistic service, encompassing interior design and project management. This highly efficient and adaptable approach lends itself to having designed a diverse portfolio of projects including, private homes, residential developments, restaurants, and offices.
I describe my approach to design as an act of “collecting & curating”:
Collecting knowledge, ideas and inspiration; sourcing materials, furniture and art that respond to a specific client brief and sense of place.
Curating each project individually with a mix of sourced, found and specially commissioned pieces; all assembled into cohesive schemes that reflect the lifestyles and narratives of our clients.
My design aesthetic is timeless, classic, and elegant and should remain relevant for years to come. I celebrate the undiscovered and unexpected encompassing a passion for little known brands; both local and international.
My interiors are tactile and indulgent with palettes and materials that are layered with depth and contrast, and whilst aesthetics are paramount, functionality, comfort and practicality are at the core of my design ethos.
My design is not just ‘contemporary’; it embraces historical references, period details and reinterprets them in a modern day setting.
